Here's the problem. We found a death date for William Nelson Linton from this old newspaper notice: Dallas Morning News, May 22, 1898: Judge Linton's Death. Austin, Tex., May 21.--- The death of N. Linton of Brownsville, a former prominent leader in republican politics of the state, occurred here this morning after a brief illness. Deceased was the father-in-law of Hon. R. B. Renfro. The remains will be interred at his old home in Montgomery county, to which place they were shipped today. I haven't been able to find him buried with other Lintons there, so it seems like he was probably buried on his farm. Are there any old Montgomery county newspapers from that time? Or any death or burial records of any kind? His wife Eliza Murray Backstrom Linton is probably buried there with him too. Is there any way to find out where his land was? I'd like to know where he's buried. Any ideas are welcome. Notify Administrator about this message?
