I have researched these McGrews who came to Texas from Alabama. You can email me at sbmoore@swbell.net
On the Montgomery Co. Genweb site, I have posted a story of a shootout the McGrews were involved in there. This was a descendant of John McGrew, but there were also descendants of James McGrew his brother, also in the area, early.
