Lemuel Smith, born about 1810/11 in Virginia, mustered into service in 1836 to fight in the Texas Revolution. He received a Texas bounty land warrant and a pension as a surviving soldier of the Texas Revolution. Lemuel Smith lived and died in Walker and Montgomery Counties, marrying Mary Roberts and raising a large family. Surviving children included Lem (a Confederate Army Veteran), Hezekiah, Eliza Jane (Williams), and possibly Mary Ann, Susan and Julia. I believe Lemuel to be brother of my 3-gr-grandfather. I am seeking Lemuel’s birth and death information. Thanks, Mike Taimi
