Hi,
I have a Lamar Riley in my line in 1920 Amarillo Texas married to my great aunt, Mattie May Mullins

Potter County Texas -Jan 20, 1920
Johnson Street
533/716
Riley, Larmar, Head, 32, MS MS MS , Breakman for Railroad
Mattie, Wife, 23, OK KY U.S.
Elmer, Son, 2 6/12, TX MS, OK
Marvin, Son, 1 6/12 TX MS OK

But this may not be your Lamar. I can't seem to find any more information on him.

In searching I have found the following on "Lamar Riley's"
....

1920 Sweeny, Brazaria TX Census:
Riley, Larmar A., Head 58, TX TX TX, Merchant- general store
Mattie, Wife, 49, AL AL AL
Lena, Daughter, 18. TX TX AL

(note that this is not my Lamar though it is strange that they were both married to Mattie's)

Here is something else....

Waco, TX Directory 1890:
Name: Lamar A. Riley
Location 2: boards 1404 S. 5th
Occupation: student
Year: 1892, 1893
City: Waco
State: TX

(note: I don't know if this is either Lamar's that I have already mentioned or if it is yet another Lamar Riley)

This may not help you make your connections to your Ashworth family but I thought I'd share the information that I have.

Linda:)
