Since you found them on the 1930 census it would be a good idea to include ages, location of births etc that you found on that census. With common surnames all clues are helpful. I went looking at the 1930 census, those sons are not in the household in 1930.
1920 census Callahan Co, TX:
Davis, Columbus, 41
" Rena, 42
" J. [N not clear could be Neal or Nash???]
" Jack, age not clear
" Eva M., 6
1910 census Howard Co, TX:
Davis, C.C., 31
" Rena, 32
" Neal, 8
" (Ras ?), 6 -- looks to be a nickname???
1880 Van Zandt Co, TX:

Go to Rootsweb's WorldConnect site -- http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi -- I typed in Davis, Christopher, born Texas 1879 + or - five years. Several matches, one shows wife as Reiner COX. I would get in touch with them, see what sources they have and share what you know.
Happy Hunting (^_^)
