I am not related to Jacob Saylor, but when I first married I rented a house from him that was next door to where he lived. I knew him well. He was the oldest child in his family. His father died when he was young. His wife was named Mabel and they had one son (only) named Lyman. The last I knew Lyman lived at Port Lavaca, Texas. Jacob lived to be very old (about 93 years). He and his wife are buried in Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery. He was one of the most unforgettable characters I ever knew.
