Hi, Searching for the family of my maternal grandmother, who came to Oklahoma from Mills County. I know little to nothing about their history, so if you're familiar with these surnames, I'd appreciate some assistance, or perhaps you could point me in a more productive direction. Thanks a lot!
My Mills Co. TX Family
Henry Franklin "Fox" Sexton - Lou Rena Scott (Choctaw)
Their Sons:
1. John Dixon (or Dickerson) Sexton 1888-1963 - Annie (a.k.a. Anabel, Annie Elizabeth) James 1895-1983
2. William H. Sexton 1894 - died in a rail yard accident around 1920.
Annie James' Parents: Jessie James & Sarah Elizabeth Dalton.
John and Annie Sexton moved to the Sasakwa area of Oklahoma in 1921 or so, after marrying in Ardmore, OK. She was previously married to his brother, William until his untimely death. John & Annie were then residents of the nearby Spaulding community, south of Holdenville, OK until their deaths.
Again, any help you could offer is most appreciated.
