Dwight Monroe Price, Sr. and Wright Mose Price, fraternal twin brothers were born 05/22/1903.

Wright was nicknamed Tubby or Uncle Tubby. Dwight was often called Po'boy, since in those days he was quite skinny. They were fraternal twins and Tubby was at least 4 inches taller than Dwight Sr. Their parents names were Mose Wright Price and Nannie Elizabeth Richards West Price. It was second marriage for both of them, and both had children from their 1st marriages. Mose 1857 - 1933. Nannie 1869 - January 1951. Mose and his 1st wife had moved to Texas from Alabama. When his 1st wife died, Mose went back to Alabama and married Nannie, and then returned to Texas ending up in Cameron. Mose had sons from his 1st marriage. Jess or Jesse; Charlie and his wife Mary Price are buried in Cameron near Mose and Nannie; Plus Ab, or Abner was also a half brother from the 1st marriage, he lived in Waco and had 1 daughter. Uncle Ab died while living with my grandparents Dwight Sr & Sallie Price, since his daughter was unable to take him in at that time. Mom thought she might have had an Uncle Alfred and she is pretty sure Uncle Ab was Abner.

Dwight Sr and Wright were born 5/22/1903 so it is physically impossible for Bessie Clara Price to be anything other than a cousin or niece, probably a niece to also be born in 1903. Their 3 sisters and half brothers were all older than them, since they were the babies of the Price family. Mose and Nannie also had 3 daughters before Dwight and Wright, Mary who married Sam Houston and had only 2 adopted children, Aibie who married a LOVE and had Joyce Ann and Edgar; and, Dolly who married William Culver and they had 2 sons.

My grandfather, Dwight Monroe Price Sr and wife, Sallie Juanita Pond Price, had the 3 daughters, Mary Elizabeth, known as Mary Beth who was married to Carl Walzel, also from Cameron, Juanita, my mom, who married William Redfern from NYC, NY, and Wanda, also known as "Tuny" who married Les Martin, and one son, Dwight Jr. Dwight Jr did die in 2005 or 2006 but he only had one child, a daughter, Denise, who is married and lives in Temple. My Aunt Patsy Price, Dwight Jr's widow, still lives in Cameron.

My brother Michael and I wrote articles which appeared in the local Cameron paper, on Dwight Jr and the Price family of 1904 N. Jackson St. Mike wrote more about Uncle Dwight and I wrote about fond memories of the family and times spent at our grandparents' home shortly before it was sold.

Uncle Tubby (Wright) and his wife, Maisie, had a cotton farm close to the cemetery where my grandmother, Sallie, and many others picked cotton, including my sister Pat and myself.

Papa's sister, Mary, married Sam Houston. She was a teacher in Cameron, which is where they lived and died and are buried. They adopted a son and daughter, and the son was killed in WWII.

If you cruise through the Cameron Cemetary you will find the Prices, Culvers, Houstons, Ponds and I am sure others.

Here is what my brother Bill found:

A woman named Barbara Price Mayfield did a lot of work on Mose and Nannie. Mose had 3 wives Ann, Jerusha, and Nannie. It looks like when Mose came to Milam he lived with his father's (Alfred J) brother's (Jessie) daughter Pollie. Jerusha was Pollie's sister. In the 1880 census you can see that Mose and Jerusha were living with Pollie before their marriage, along with a bunch of other people.

Mose's parents were Alfred J Price and Sarah Louisa Weboe.

1880 census Milam county, Texas
Price Pollie 36 b. SC Father SC Mother Geo

Florince 2 niece b Tx f Tex m Geo
Hillen Jeff 19 b Tx f Al m AL

Jerusha Price was the daughter of Jesse F. Price. She married Moses W. Price the son of A. J. Price and the grandson of John Price and Elizabeth Liles. John Price and Jesse T. Price were brothers. Therefore Moses W. Price was the first cousin once removed of his wife Jerusha Price. John Price and his wife Elizabeth Liles are buried in a cemetery in Walker County, GA

Pop had 3 half brothers Albert C.(1878), Jesse A(1884) and Charles W. (1888 was an undertaker in Cameron). Then Mary his sister was born in 1897.

In 1900 census
his son Albert was b 1878 Ala(child of Ann)
his son Jesse A. b 1884 Tx.(child of Jerusha)
His son Charles W. b 1888 Tx (Child of Jerusha)
daughter Mary M. b 1897 Tx (child of Nannie)
So we know he married in Ala. according to some a "Ann"
But was listed as single in 1880 and didn't have Albert with him.
So some time after 1880 he married Jerusha and had 2 children. She died before 1896.

Some of the names and dates are in conflict. In 1890 the census showed Mose and Nannie had been married for 4yrs, but Charles was born in 1888
