Fred L. Calhoun

Fred L. Calhoun passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2002 in Midland.

He was born December 16, 1933 in Ingram, Arkansas to Wade and Viola Calhoun, and was raised in Pocahontas, Arkansas. He was an Air Force retiree and had attended Midland College. Prior to his retirement, Fred was a jet mechanic for the US Air Force and had worked as an auto mechanic for the City of Midland, and local car dealerships.

He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Jennifer Marie Calhoun.

Fred is survived by his wife, Ruthie M. Calhoun of Midland, TX; son, Karl E. Calhoun and his wife Debbie of University Place, WA; son, Anthony F. Calhoun of Lawton, OK; daughter, Frieda M. Calhoun Balch and her husband Gordon of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia; son, Freddie L. Calhoun, Jr. of Midland, TX; son, Patrick W. Calhoun of Midland, TX; uncle, W.D. Endicott of Pocahontas, AR; sister, Dorothy Jean Jones of Massilon, OH; sister, LouDon Gallegos of Colorado Springs, CO; brother, John W. Calhoun of Midland, TX; sister, Lee Dale Sullivan of Massilon, OH; sister, Grettle Midcap of Munroe Falls, OH; grandchildren, Patrick, Jubilee, Joshua, Shannon, Rachel, Misty, Anthony, Bridgette, Clint, Timothy, Freddie, Tony, Luke and Kristy.

Graveside services have been scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Saturday, October 19, 2002 at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home
