Well, first they have to obtain permission to film items. Now, they are going into digitizing books and records. If you use the Family History Library Catalog, watch for that one line of "red" type. BYU in Provo is working in partnership with the FHL and if they digitize a genealogy book it is entered into the FHL catalog and you can click and look at it online. Things are moving ahead soooo fast, hard to keep up.
