Hello, I've hit a brick wall with my Benson's, maybe you can help. I have T.J. "Tiny" Benson (grew up in E of Jackson Miss) b. 1856 married in Washington Co Miss to Lulu Bullington in 1878. They had children in Arkansas and TX. Children in no order are: Carolyn Estelle b. Feb. 10, 1880 in Hot Springs, Barney Sherman Benson b. Feb. 19, 1886 in Fort Smith,Arkansas, Effie Coleman Benson b. june 2, 1885 in Roxton, TX, Opal (died young) May Benson b. 1893 and Pete Benson. There may be more. One one obit from Barney Benson there lists a brother Pete Horning, I guess Horning is a middle name? and on Carrie's obit it lists a brother named David C. Benson of Pawhuska, I believe the C stands for Culberson, not sure. After Lulu died T.J. married an Alice Carter and had two more sons Cullen and Jay Benson. Do any of these names sound familiar? T.J. and Lulu Benson lived in Roxton when Lulu died. Effie Coleman Benson is my great grandmother. Am wondering if the Coleman is connected to the Benson side or the Bullington.
