Ms. Buhr (hi, Doris Ann!), thank you for sending me the email informing me that you know a little about the McIvers. I am in NYC, treating my two grandsons, ages 17 and 13, to a trip, and will not have my genealogy "papers" until I return home, but I am looking for information about any relatives of a Daniel McIver who was born around 1790 or a few years later, supposedly in South Carolina, and who married Lucretia McClendon in Henry Co., Ala. about 1825 +/-. They are said to have had two children (at least, that is all my family knows of): Rocerick Capel McIver and Caroline (or Martha) McIver.

Roderick Capel and his wife, Lucidy Wood, are buried in the Callisburg Cemetery near Gainsville, TX. I desperately need to know Daniel's heritage. Apparently, he did not move to TX when his son, Rocerick, brought his wife and children, including William Wood McIver, whom all the family knew and now knows about.

Thanks so much, Lue J. Allred
