I've been doing research on a Jennings family in Texas. I was able to find a few ancestors but have hit a stumbling block. We
have the grandparents, both buried in Austin and along with them is their younger son, Charles Murphy Jennings (1923-1962).
He died of a kidney illness that ran in the family. He had four children (2 boys, 2 girls), one boy was named Charles Murphy
Jennings, Jr. Sr.'s wife's name was Katherine but we don't know if she remarried or moved away from Austin, or anything
about where the family went. We believe that at least one of his children died of the same kidney disease that also killed
Charles Sr.'s brother, Earl Davis Jennings (1920-1953), also in his 30's.
The grandparents' names are Earl Davis Jennings, Sr. (1891-1925) and Minnie Burkhardt Jennings (1895-1933)
--Earl Sr's parents were M.M. Jennings (born in AL) and Maggie Beverage/Beveridge (born in TN). They were married in
Madison Co., TN and moved to Texas (don't know where exactly). We can't find anything in AL or TN on this family.
--Minnie Burkhardt's mother's name was Elise A. Schumann. Her father's name was Charles Burkhardt. They were married
5/11/1894 in LaGrange, TX.
If you have run across any information on these names, please contact me. I appreciate any help I can get.
Thank you so much!
Ms. Duane Googe
