Thanks, I have a Josiah Culp that diappeared in 1863,from Arkansas, just thought this one could possibly have some connection to him, I am unable to find any Civil War records for mine, it is possible he died, but also possible he went into another state. Also unable to find any death or burial records for mine in 1863. And some of my Culp's ended up in various Texas counties. I have checked all the sources you suggested, except for the 1870 census, for , Lamar Co. which I don't have access to until I can get to a library. The Rheudasil name did appear to be an unusual one, so I thought someone might recognize it and have some information on the couple.
Thanks for replying. I always appreciate all the help I can get.
