My DOUGLASS line has been very elusive! Every bit of information has been dug out the hard way. Here is what I have
found, in the hope that someone out there in cyberspace connects to it. William DOUGLASS, b. about 1785 NC m. Sarah
___, b. about 1791. Known children from 1850 Campbell co. TN fed. census: Matthew, Catharine, George Preston,and Margaret. Probable older children living adjacent in same census: Samuel, Thomas Y(oung), and John. George Preston, b. about 1833 m. Lucretia Wilhite, b. 1836, dau. of Jackson Wilhite and Jane Lay. George and Lucretia had Thomas Y., Sarah J., Rachel, Julia Ann Margaret, William P., Drury S., Samuel Mack. The two oldest born in Campbell co. TN, the rest in Texas co. MO. Lucretia died after 1868 and George moved to north Texas. Next found in Montague co. TX with new ife, Delitha in 1880. Samuel Mack b. 1869 Texas co. MO, d. 1943 Okla. City, m. Narcissus J. Hays 1872-1924, dau. of John C.Hays and Elizabeth Bucks/Birks, 1887 Montague co. TX. Their son William Edward b. 1887 Colbert's Ferry, Indian Territory(now OK), m. Tillia Odelta Kaase, 1910 Holdenville, OK. Also have spouses of children and documentation on everything. Will share.
