Get used to the initials, it is the bane of TX researchers. I would look for this family on the 1900 census. Bert won't show up, but you will have the other children to prove you have the right family. This will give you their mother's given name. Follow the family through the 1910 & 1920 census, you may pick up the second wife along the way. Do you have Bert's death certificate? It should have the names and birth locations of his parents, but only as good as the knowledge of the informant.
