Looking for info on E.R. Harris. This is all I have, Born in Missouri 11-25-1877,
Died 2-10-1914 in Port Arthur, TX According to his Obituary (which is all I have to start with) He was a Newspaper Man Well Known in Texas, Louisiana and Arizona. Article says" Mr Harris came to Port Arthur about ten months ago, acting as correspondent for the Enterprise in this city, and also for Houston, Galveston and New Orleans papers. Among Newspaper Men Mr. Harris was widely known in Texas, Louisiana and Arizona. He had been ill for about three weeks with a complication of diseases. He was 36 years of age.
He is survived by a widow (Ruby Miller Harris) and two children (Ruth and Howard)"
I'm not even sure of his first name. My Dad, (Howard H. Harris) says he believes it was Edward but is not sure.
He must have been in the area of Prentiss, Miss in Aug, 1911 as that is where my Dad was born. His sister Ruth who was 2 years older was born in Tuson, AZ. I know thats not very much, but if anyone can help me get started, I thank you in advance.
Donald H. Harris
