TX has a state wide death index, I would check it for death of Travis Keith. If you can obtain a death certificate for him, it will show the names and birth location of his parents. The 1910 and 1920 census will show birth location of his parents, too. Once you get exact death date, look for an obit, too. Sometimes they come up with great additional info. University of TX at Austin has the largest collection of TX newspapers, and will make copies of any obituaries. They do not do research, but if you have exact death date they will look for general time period for obit. There is a charge if they find and make copy, but well worth it.
