KEENE, Texas, Origin of Name
Posted by: Mark McHugh Date: April 14, 2000 at 09:50:24

Looking for info on who the town of KEENE, Texas is named for. I was told it was named in the 1880's for a man named Keene from Michigan who was a friend of the Postmaster General. I understand that there was a Keene post office in the 1890's. Ring any bells? IF so, please email me at mmchugh@allianceai.org. Thanks, Mark McHugh.
