I have never heard of a Bullet Prairie Tx., however....there was a nine mile stretch of
land around the Jack & Young Co. line which was called Salt Creek Prairie. It was referred to as "the most dangerous prairie in Texas" due to the many Indian attacks on settlers and travelers by the Kiowa & Commanche tribes. Since this is approximately in the area you gave....could this be the place. It may have gained the name Bullet Prairie for the battles.. Just a thought.
