Quite a few of us are on it in Titus County, Texas.
One way people can help if they can't get out with their cameras is to look up the cemetery lists online and transfer the information from them to findagrave.
OR if they have access to cemetery books, please transfer that information as well to findagrave.
Most of the time others will come along with a photo
It's a great project for the homebound, teenagers, elderly.
Keep in mind, accuracy in transcription is important.
Also, contributors will sooner or later be contacted by family members who have found the findagrave 'memorial' to add information, link other family members together, post obituaries and history info if they have any OR they may ask for transfer of the memorial to them. If you aren't related, I think it's easier to transfer so the memorials can be enhanced by loved ones, even if they don't fall into the findagrave transfer guidelines of relationship.
If a contributor does not remain active, then all suffer because no one will be able to contact them to make changes to the memorials. It leaves the rest of us hanging.
It's fun, it's rewarding to be able to help others find their family tree members.
Best wishes and thank you Roger for spreading the word.
By the way, my mother was a Lunsford here in Titus County, TX.
