Wrong info on a CW marker
Posted by: Bobbi Chase (ID *****3242) Date: March 25, 2013 at 14:02:29

Question: What would you do if you could prove beyond doubt that info on a Civil War headstone is incorrect? The proof is the State's death record, a copy of the newspaper as to when he died, a date when the cemetery plot was purchased, and a copy of his wife's application for a CW widow's pension application.

The difference on the headstone and the facts are far apart and it seems that that CW vet deserves to have correct dates on his marker.

So, what would you do about the problem? It is for sure that the government will not replace the marker? HELP!
