I have recently obtained my Grandmother's genealogy work. She worked so hard on it & I would love to learn more. I'm a newbie to this site & after reading through her papers/files/etc. - I don't think we're related, but my maternal Grandmother's name was Doris Frugia & she lived in Vidor, TX (Rose City - actually, but mail was delivered to Vidor address). She was married to Lyman Frugia Jr. - who at one time was major of Rose City, TX. My Grandmother has passed but my Grandfather survives.
We have family from Louisiana as well & agree with one of the ladies about the many versions of "Frugia" - I know one that keeps coming up in my Grandmother's note taking is Fruge.
My name is Erin McCord & I live in Beaumont (but grew up in Vidor, TX). My Mother is Noel Ann McCord - oldest daughter of Doris Frugia. My Mom's younger sister is Martha Frugia.
If any of this is helpful & or you would like more information - drop me a line.
Also, if you indeed find out that we are somehow related - also drop me a line :)
I'm hoping to take a class on this & really start doing some digging & take up where my Grandmother left off.
