I appreciate this real information. While I do have the copies of this record, It made me re read my pension application papers and discovered I was listing the pension dates as 1912 and not 1909 as clearly stated in the copies . I now know I MEANT to say that the 1912 date is on the CSA Veterans Picnic PHOTOS that Jeptha Fortson attended in Gregg Co.Texas. and that photo is in the Longview, Texas library records and the date is the last I have for him in any records. Thanks again for making me think more clearly. Now, if you could improve my sentence structure? thanks. Carol
