Jim Weaver Bastrop Co TX 1843-1846

Looking for info on Jim Weaver who was in Bastrop Co., TX sometime between 1843-1846. My gr-gr-grandfather, Warnell Polk, who was born in 1832 in AR, went to Bastrop Co 1843-1845 and was with Jim Weaver until abt 1846. I don't know if Warnell travelled with Jim Weaver from Arkansas to Bastrop Co. or just stayed with him when he reached Bastrop. Also, don't know if they were related. Warnell left Jim Weaver to live with Dr. David Franklin Brown whose wife was a Polk relative of Warnell's. Warnell's parents were Taylor Polk, Sr. and Polly Warren. Polly Warren is my brick wall so don't know if she was related to Jim Weaver.
Thanks, Peggy
