It seems that you have some dates out of order ...........

You wrote "They were married in 1842 in McNairy Co. TN".

You also wrote - "Wiley BRANTLEY b. 1774 Nash Co. NC d. 1834 Blount co. Ala."

So, how can Wiley BRANTLEY be married in 1842 when he died 8 yrs earlier ??? Doesn't make sense.
