In Reply to: Noah Griffin (b NC 16 Mar 1834) in Leon Co., TX by Michelle Richmond of 65481

Possibility:

1850 Dist 1, Madison, TN
#159 Joseph Griffin 48 m NC b. 1802
Noah Griffin 16 m NC b. ca 1834

Lots of Joseph Griffin in TN and NC in 1840. The one below was chosen because, based on this 1850 census there should be a son 5-10 (Noah age 6) and a male 30-40 (Joseph age 38).
1840 Anson, NC
Joseph V. Griffin
1 m 5-9 (?Noah age 6)
2 m 10-14
1 m 30-39 (?Joseph age 38)
1 f 5-9
2 f 15-19
1 f 20-29

Matches 1830 Anson, NC Joseph (indexed Griffen) Griffin added
2 m < 5
1 m 20-29 (?Joseph age 28)
1 m 40-49
1 f 5-9 [implies parents marr. ca 1824, father b. ca 1803]
1 f 20-29
NEXT FAMILY TO:
William Griffin
1 m < 5
1 m 20-29
1 f < 5
1 f 20-29

You might want to investigate:
Amos Griffin of 1810 Anson, NC
2 m < 10
1 m 16-25
1 f < 10
1 f 16-25
