Connections to Devils River (Del Rio) - 1880s to present

I am a graduate student at Texas State University and I am currently working on a research project through the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department which focuses on the Devils River State Park in Del Rio, TX. The goal of the project is to study those who owned land and were key players in the development on the region.

I am looking to connect with anyone that has personal or familial ties to the land prior to when it became an official state park. Deeds date back to the 1880s and some prominent Del Rio families and businesses have been involved in the land development.

If you or anyone you know has information on the history of this land please contact me, as I'd like to get to know more and to build a better narrative of the history of the area.
