Hello!

We have been putting together the history of an elusive relative....Please read and if it seems at all possible that we are dealing with the same man PLEASE contact me!! He altered his name and year of birth, place of birth but always born in August. Also the middle name LEE seems to be a constant.

Born: Lee Harold Nelson, 21 Aug 1928 in San Diego CA

Father: Lee Olaf Nelson born 1903 Kansas
Mother: Dorothy 'Irene' White born abt 1906 in Texas as Grace White daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Mattie Ware McMillon

Siblings[2]: Lillian 'Maxine' Nelson born 1926 Yuma AZ and
Betty Ailene Nelson born 1934 San Diego CA...both deceased

1930 Census...listed as Bobby L Nelson living in house near his parents not with.

In 1938 Robert Lee Nelson applied for an SS# claiming to be born 21 Aug 1926 in Arizona THIS IS ACTUALLY Lee Harold Nelson born 21 Aug 1928... Family issues occurred and we believe he altered age to enter service......We know he was in Air Force and possibly others.

The above SS# is not the one his #2 wife had for him! She believes he had several!

Can anyone advise as to how getting multiple SS# could be done without a proper birth record?????

Is there a military database[s] that would be helpful in possibly tracing Bob!
We wrote to get his Air Force records with the SS# his wife #2 had and were told they had burned.

Marriage #1 - 1946 Cochise AZ..Lee H Nelson to LaVon Dunigan
Child: Larry Lee Nelson, 1947-2004
Marriage #2 - abt 1950 Maryland/DC area to Betty Jean Johnson [NOT LOCATED YET]
Child: Jay Lee Nelson, 1952- living
Marriage #3?? - before 1965 to Susan Jane Klukas 1926-2007...One tree states their marriage took place in Elko NV about 1960....CANNOT CONFIRM

Owner of Northern California Fence in Redwood CA...Owners listed as Robert Lee Nelson and Susan Jane Klukas Nelson...States established 1965

'Bob' - Robert Lee Nelson born Lee Harold Nelson died on 25 Oct 1974 in San Mateo CA [Coronary]. Death Certificate states in CA only 2 years, WHERE WERE Susan and Bob BEFORE San Mateo CA!

Bob's Obituary was odd and minimal, listing no children only his wife, cremated and ashes spread at sea.

All found documents between Susan J and her husband refer to him as Robert Lee Nelson born Aug 1930. [NOTE THE YEAR, Actual birth year is 1928]

His son Larry by wife #1 had found and corresponded with his father [Bob], just prior to Bob's untimely death. Larry was informed that he had half or step siblings. We only know of 1 half-brother....

His Will alludes to possible children / claimants, which he leaves nothing.

We believe after #2 marriage ended {womanizer} [in DC], about 1954-55, Bob headed back to CA.

ARE THERE ANY CHILDREN born between about 1954 and 1965 that belong to our BOB??????? Seems like too large a gap knowing his history not to have another child out there, plus Bobs comment to his son Larry adds to that probability!

Here is a copy of Susan Klukas Nelsons Obituary [Also somewhat odd]:
Susan Jane Klukas Nelson, 81, of Mahtomedi, Minn., formerly of Colfax, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, with hospice in Mahtomedi.
Susan was born Aug. 9, 1926, in Chippewa Falls to Herman and Hazel (Longdo) Klukas. She graduated from Colfax High School in 1944. For many years she lived in Foster City, Calif., and of late, in Vadnais Heights and Mahtomedi, Minn. Susan and her husband, Bob Nelson, owned and operated the Northern California Fence Corporation in Redwood City, Calif.
Survivors include her brother, Roger (Mary) Klukas, of Menomonie; sisters, Barbara Peterson of Shoreview, Minn., Mary Lee Klukas of Spencer, Iowa, Jane (John) Kragness of Colfax and Sharon Jefferies of Aspen, Colo., and Indian Wells, Calif.; many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Hazel Klukas; her husbands, Chester Goulet and Bob Nelson; and her brother, Robert Klukas. Funeral services for Susan will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, at Sampson Funeral Home, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, both in Colfax. Friends may call one hour before services at the funeral home on Monday.

We have tried contacting Susan's family with no responses :(

Contact me if you have or are a person that is seeking a missing father/grandfather that fits this scenario!!!

Thank you from Boston area!
Elaine
