Hi Tom, Since the 1910 census said James and Eugene were nephews of Clarence and Lillie I looked at Lillie Shawver's family. Lillie is in the 1880 census in Indiana with her father George Shawver and siblings. One of her siblings is a Pearl Shawver born 1880. I then found George Shawver in the 1895 census in Osawatomie, Kansas with his son and family.

I think this might be a possibility for James and Eugene's parents-marriage record found at

Kansas Marriages

James Lawley
Birth Date-1872
Birthplace-Dalhart, TX
Pearl Shawver
Birth Date-1879
Age 24
Marriage Date-Dec. 17, 1903
Marriage Place-Kansas City, Wyandotte, Kansas

Good luck in your search. Kathryn
