In the 1920 census, Edward and his wife and family are living in NY, then in 1930 as you say, he is living with his son. What happened to the wife? Did she die, or go back to OH?

You might see if there is a genealogical society for Cameron Co., TX and someone who could tell you about the DelWalt Hotel. I couldn't find anything about it by Googling.

If you can find him in 1940 in Brownsville, maybe his son is there as well. I looked at the death certificate and someone had to know about sending his body back to Ohio for burial.
