There is a Red Oak in Ellis Co, TX, is that where you are? There is a genealogy society in Ellis Co.

I found this information on the Ellis Co, TX, GenWeb site --

Ellis County Genealogical Society meets the 1st Monday of each month, 7:00 pm, at the Ellis County Woman's Building, 407 West Jefferson Street in Waxahachie.

I don't know if Waxahachie is close to where you live, but you might want to visit one of their meetings.

Website is down for maintenance so couldn't find if there is a Family History Center near you, but I did find --

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
2418 Brown St, Waxahachie, TX 75154
(972) 937-9010

Doesn't say anything about having a FHC at their facility, not all of them have a FHC. But you could call there and someone should be able to tell you if there is a FHC in the area.

Happy Hunting (^_^)
