Can you tell me a little more about the Green Kyle you were looking for in TX?I see that the one I found in 1930 is not yours - too young. What was his wife's name, children?Could Green have been his middle name?
Here's what I have found so far:
Lee Co., MS, 1880:
William Kyle, age 42, b. TN, parents b. TN, farmer
Elizabeth Kyle, age 37, b. AL, father AL, mother SC
John, age 16, b. MS
Green, age 14, b. MS
Kitty, age 13, b. MS
George, age 9, b. MS
Jackson, age 7, b. MS
Babe, age 4, b. MS
Lizzy, age 3, b. MS
Bessie, age 5 mos., b. MS
Tate Co., MS, 1900:
William D. Kyle, age 62, b. TN, parents b. TN, farmer
Elyzie, age 57, b. AL, parents b. AL
Liddie (Lizzie), age 22, b. MS
Next Door:
George Kyle, age 29, b. MS
Loula (?), age 26, b. MS
John W., age 7
Robert L., age 6
Thomas A., age 4
George E., age 6 mos.
I saw online that William's parents were Nelson F. Kyle, b. 1809 Buchanan Co., VA and Permelia Ford, b. 1820, TN.
1860 Aberdeen, Monroe Co., MS:
N.F. Kyle, age 51, b. VA
Permelia, age 40 (?), b. TN
David, age 18, b. TN
Martha, age 12, b. MS
Sarah, age 11, b. MS
Mollie, age 6, b. MS
Joe H., age 2, b. MS
Let me know if you have anything more on Green Kyle.I just haven't been able to find him after 1880.Oh, there was a Green Kyle in the Civil War, age 21, from MS.He may have been William Kyle's brother and your Green was named after him.
