I have them in Jefferson Co, FL in 1840 and Matagorda Co, TX in 1870. Have not confirmed children, I have Son 1, Martha, Frances Isabel, Son 2, Elisha, Emily "Emma" and Susan "Sue".

I do have this interesting tidbit: 15 Nov 1844 - Ransom J. ROBERTS is sued by John BELLAMY for indebtedness. In a case that would ultimately be tried before the Florida Supreme Court, ROBERTS "sold" seventeen slaves to his brother Elijah and then, along with his brother-in-law David EMANUEL, "absconded secretly" with the slaves to Alabama. This was done to prevent ROBERTS from losing the slaves in payment of a significant amount of money that was owed BELLAMY. BELLAMY gave chase and was able to recover the slaves.

Also: 1853 - Ransom J ROBERTS recorded his brand in Matagorda County, TX. - #0287.
