To get someone to look for obits you need full date of death.

TX Dth Idx 1964-1998:

Hunter, Daniel L., d 20 Aug 1978, Harris Co, TX

Hunter, Phyllis Mae, d 28 Aug 1979, Wood Co, TX

Try Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness -- http://www.raogk.org/faq-requesters.htm -- Several volunteers listed for Harris Co, TX. Not so lucky with Wood Co, TX. But, you might post a query on the Wood Co forum

Do you know where they actually lived most of their lives? Someone may die in one place, but the old home town newspaper may also carry their obituary, too.

Happy Hunting (^_^)
