"Gus" the Ranger and Indian Fighter
Posted by: Landra Miles (ID *****3214) Date: July 06, 2011 at 13:55:22

I found a scrap of paper in my great-aunt's files that she had a cousin Gustave named after her grandmother's half brother "Gus the Ranger and Indian fighter." The grandmother was Rhoda Ann (Lane) Beall, who was on the Navarro, Tarrant, TX 1850 census with her parents James W. and Levina H. Lane. Does anyone know who this Gus is?
