It looks like her name was Lucinda, at least that's what it is in the 1850 and 1860 census records. In 1870, the enumerator may have been confused with the daughter Lucretia's name.
I wonder if her maiden name could have been Papadeaux - that's a good old Louisiana name.
If William came through LA on his way from AL to TX, they could have married in LA.Might be hard to find a record unless you knew the parish, though.
Probably your best bet re: the possibility of a will would be to contact the Polk Co. clerk's office:
P.O. Drawer 2119
Livingston, TX 77351
Ph. 936-327-6804 or 6805
Fax 936-327-6874
Since Lucinda had $1490 in real estate and $3000 in personal estate in 1860, William could have left a will, but he was pretty young to die, so he may not have gotten around to making one.
Lucinda was living in the Moscow community in 1860.Cemeteries are online at the Polk Co. GenWeb site.I looked at all the ones near Moscow (with the exception of Shiloh which has not been indexed) and did not find William.Burials in this timeframe were often on the person's property and not in a cemetery.
Good luck!
