Lucretia Clark Tarver, Sophronia Clark. Lillie Rasberry
I am trying to find out the maiden name of Lucretia Clark Tarver. She was the Widow Clark when she married Jonathon Tarver in Whistler, Alabama in 1860.
Lucretia (unknown) married (unknown) Clark and they had a daughter Sophronia Clark b. Alabama 1852.I don't know when they were married but I assume Sophronia's father (unknown) Clark died between 1852 and 1860.
Lucretia was born 1830, Alabama, died 1868 Whistler, Alabama area.
I have searched the Mobile area marriage records have not found anything on Lucretia and Clark.
Lucretia Tarver was a party to some type of legal issue regarding Bragg/Estate of B. Harris in Corsicana, Texas probably filed prior to 1868 and Judgment rendered sometime in 1877.Mrs. Sophronia Clark Vetter and Miss Martha Tarver (Lucretia and Jonathon's daughter) received proceeds from the Judgment.A Miss Lillian Rasberry also received proceeds from the judgment. The proceeding took place in Corsicana, TX andGuaritty & Huey, Bankers handled the matter for Mr. Charles B. Vetter, Sophronia's husband and Martha Tarver's guardian. The proceeds from the Judgment were sent to Mr. Vetter in 1877.This is why I think Lucretia and Mr. Clark may have been married in Texas or their families may have lived there for a while.
Lillian Rasberry married Charles Vetter in 1883 after Sophronia died. I am also trying to figure out her connection to the family and if she was the opposing party or on the same side as Lucretia?
If anyone has any information on these people please help!
Thank you.
