NEW Shook yDNA Study - Descendants of Johannes Shuck, of Northampton, PA
In 1732, Johannes Schuck and his wife, Anna Maria ______, arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, settling in Northampton County, the migrating to NC later.
We have formed a completely new yDNA group to locate and test descendants of this couple and establish a DNA profile for this family. Our goals are to find and meet new family members, and to attempt to find our German cousins also!! This is a simple cheek-cell swab test which produces your DNA "profile" for family purposes within weeks!!
Come join us if you are a male, Shook-surnamed, blood-line descendant of this man or his descendants who settled first in Northamption Co, PA in the 1730s, then later in Buncombe, Catawba, Burke, Lincoln and Haywood Counties in North Carolina before migrating on from there. The test is one using the male "Y" chromosome and can find "matches" who descend from a common ancestor many generations back.
Come join us and obtain your results in a few weeks for only the cost of a couple of nites in a hotel researching your family!! . . .but you can't keep the hotel room, just your yDNA results!
write me, Jack Ruple, Sr., J.D. Group Administrator of new Group called Shook Family of Pennsylvania - you may go to www.familytreedna.com/public/Shook-Pennsylvania/ to find our new study. I am a Shook descendant and have already tested a male Shook cousin who descends from this line. We need several more Shook 2d, 3d or 4th cousins to test!! Thanks and I look forward to helping you discover new cousins and to searching for our European roots with your help!!
