A few corrections to the data in the parent post:

John Winstead Paine is NOT the father of the J. C. B. Paine who married Mary E. Basket. They are brothers.

The 8 year old James in the John W. Payn household in 1850 is in my opinion probably the "Jim Paine" who went to war with Bill Judkins in Arkansas in 1862.

The 25 year old James Payn in Household 528/528 on the 1850 Nacogdoches census is probably the "Big Jim Paine" (J. C. B. Paine) who by 1860 had moved to Clark County, AR. The parent post incorrectly identified him as the "Jim Paine" who was in the Confederate service from Nacogdoches in 1862.
