TX Dth Idx thru 1976 -- http://search.labs.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html?..#w=;p=2;c=1320964;t=searchable -- You can view digitized copy of original death record, see more details, make copies and look for others, too.

Collection: Texas Deaths, 1890-1976
[Informant was his wife]

The couple are on the 1930 census in Bell Co, TX with a daughter named Mary, age, 1 ?/12, b TX.

Since Gerhard died later than your grandfather, Gerhard's obituary might have more. By 1960 at least some of the daughters might be married and obits are a good way to pick up married names of female members of the family.

I know Wiggers isn't your blood line, but strangely enough I found Henry G. and Johanna Wiggers on the 1910 census Bell Co, TX, with a son named "Garret", but he's listed as 13. "Gerhard" should be 2 or 3. Another one of those census enumerator errors???

Happy Hunting (^_^)
