First I noticed you did not post on the American Indian forum - probably because they tend to be mean there-
I located them in 1900 in Lamar Co - they stated they were white - the 5 children still living were born in Oregon - could not locate them on any other census-

There was NO Green Berry Arnold (or close) on he Dawes list - so he could NOT have been Cherokee Chief - he could have been a member of the council as a white man but if he was not registered the odds of being elected a Chief is very unlikely
