ANYONE KNOW: Margarete Rose AKIN who was friends with my Grandmother Oertel? Ms Akin wrote poetry and was published; "Life's Afterglow" was published by William T Tardy Dallas Texas.
In the book’s front page: " To Patsey Oertel - my heart goes out in one long swell for her faith in me and her own lovely poetry, and it is joy personified to inscribe my first little book for her ~

On the reverse is handwrittten:
My dear friend: Your letter showed calm repression and the first stunning ...... of grief, but it also showed you looking bravely into the future that you may receive the baptismal crystalline of your tears I send this offering of my roundiance. my children from AUSIN and AMARILLO are all to by here tomorrow to stay six weeks. more later - Roseine
