I would very much love to talk to Carolyn (Caroline) Harris Pipes CPA. We are related through Ed Harris. He was my grandfather, You and my dad's father. I know you have no idea who I am but I have always known about the family in Texas and I met Ed. only once in my life and have very little recolection of him. The second time I had a chance to see him was after he was dead and I had no desire to go see him then as I could never get any answers. I still live about 25 miles North of Memphis, TN. and I am told and from what I see in the one picture I have of your father he and my dad looked almost identical. I can understand if you do not want to talk to me or have any sort of relationship but maybe you ccould give my name and mumber to one of your sisters or brothers except Kim. I have talked to her and I have suggested that as many of us that could or wanted to get together somewhere and share notes and stories about our families. My dad loved his father and so did his two brothers and his sister but Ed left when my dad and Uncles got out of the service because my Aunt was not his child. I have no idea where he got the name Harris, I know his mother was married to a John Alexander Husbands then a Mr. Jenkins, who was a farmer. I do have a deposition of when he legally had his name changed to Harris but have no idea why. Kim says it is because his mother married a mr Harris after John Alexander Husbands then Married Mr. Jenkins. I am the one in my family that has any interest in persueing the Genealogy of our family and get things as correct as possible. I have three Cousins from my dad's youngest brother that have now deceided to get into finding their history also. I have another two cousins, on boy and one girl of my dad's brother that was second born in the family. I do not know how they feal about Ed. If you could possibly see your way to talk to me and maybe meet me I would love that. My phone number is (901)837-8489. I would love to hear from you and maybe at least start communicating by mail. I go to Tylor, Tx. Quite often wich I know is very near Killdare, TX. I know I could talk my husband into comming there as he has lots of cousins in with the surname of Rae,Montgomery and others in Tylor and they had reunion there up until a few years ago and we were there last summer for a get together with his side of our family so his sousins could do research there. I have no cousins there that I know of but I do know that I have or had Aunt's and Uncles very near there. My dad was the eldest child and I am the eldest grandchild. I do believe I am older than any of the Aunts and Uncles Ed had with your mom "Lottie". I was born August 02, 1948 in Memphis To Edward Norment (Norman) Harris and Magdalene Kathleen Darmstaedter Harris in Memphis, TN. I am not sure but I think that the earliest any of your siblings was born in the eairly 1950's. I will go now but please think about this carefully, anyone that knows Caroline (Carolyn) in case she does not look for genealogy on the internet please let her know she is very much wanted to be part of my life and history.
