Look for information on my mother

Would appreciate any information about Charley Tyler Phillip and his wife Mary (Horn) Phillips. They settled in Hill County, Texas probably late 1901 or early 1902 both born in Lee County, Kentucky. They had a little girl (Lilia} born August 18, 1902 . She was sometintes Lela. Since record were not kept in Texas until 1903 I have no sort of birth record on her. Lilia was my mother and she died 2 months after I was born. I only have the words of my last living aunt who I did not trust. I was wondering if there might be a Church or Churches that still exist in the area that I could contact. I would appreciate some imput into my search. Thank you
