Hi Liz!

Thought I'd update you.

Through your help, I've connected with a cousin who's related through Sidney Samuel and a cousin related through Joel A.Burrough, by way of his brother Peter Harry.

Between us, we've filled in more info on the history, but can't seem to break the barrier of Joel & Peter's parents, John Burrough b. abt 1800 and Martha b. 1802 d. 1867. Can't seem to find John's death or either of their parents names. Same with Joel's first wife Martha A. Finley and Laura Ann's mother Julia C. Parker.

Brenda was told Laura was part Native American, are there different records to check for that heritage?

Chuck has found what seems to be a strong connection to Henry Burrough of Tuscaloosa, AL with sons John, Francis and Joel, but no follow through yet for confirmation.

I fully intend to take a class once our home is rebuilt! This is truly an adventure and jigsaw puzzle, isn't it? I hope a class or major tutorial will help put pieces together a little easier, though I have had more luck since you pointed out the spelling changes.

Warm regards,
Tina
