John: An article appeared in the "Galveston Daily News", 20 April 1875, issue 87, col B titled "The Self-Accused Murder". It's a fairly long article but the crux is that a man named Christian Hunson walked into the St. Louis, Mo police and confessed that he murdered Smith Kellum in Texas. He told them that he was a member of a vigalante group in McLennan County and that Smith was a "bad man" thus the murder. More information MIGHT be found in St. Louis papers of the time. Anyway, thought I would pass it on.... Rick
