Joel , Frank, Lee, Luther & Tilman Jones, McCullough Co.

Yes! Finally found the information on Joel Tilman Jones. He was definitely the son of our Tilman Jones who died in Cochise Co., Arizona in 1918.

My first hint of a Joel Jones came through my grandmother {Minnie Sanders Van Deren} who was a niece of Joel's. She told me very early in my research, probably about 1967-8, that her Grandfather Jones {Tilman} had four "full blood" sons. They were Joel, John Franklin, Lee & Luther. I have just recently found Tilman and his entire family in McCullough Co., TX. He did, indeed, have four sons. This is the first I've been able to find of them in the 1880's - other than that coming from my grandmother. A great deal of the information from my grandmother on Tilman and his family came from her mother, my great-grandmother Veliar {Aunt V/ V} who I knew well in her later years. She lived to be nearly 100 years old.

Do wish I could find more on Lee & Luther {listed as D.L. and L. R. on this Texas census}. Still searching. Any ideas???
