Annie Newton Smith

Looking for an Annie Newton born in Tarrant County TX around 1871 to Elihu and Mary Newton. She appears as the daughter of Elihu and Mary in the 1880 census in Tarrant County. After that I loose track of her. There was a Fort Worth Star-Telegram article about Elihu and Mary's 55th wedding anniversary in 1921 that mentioned a Mrs. Smith as the only surviving daughter of the two. Annie Newton must be this Mrs. Smith mentioned in the article. Does anyone know of this mystery Smith in north central Texas? Thanks in advance!
