I don't know that it helps a great deal but:

You can find the death certificate for Eric Lilja here:

It does not have much information on it though.
At that same link, you will find the certificate for "Mimmie Victoria Lilja"-1960 Travis County. Daughter of John and Mathilda Morell. The informant was "Eric R.Lilja". Both of these folks were buried in Elgin,TX in the city cemetery.

The 1920 census counted "Mrs.Lilja" as a widowed daughter with the Morells;in 1930 she and son Eric still live with her mother,but her named was written backwards,so does not show up in an index with Lilja as a surname-and her name is written as "Minnie".
